Counselling in Schools
Damian has worked successfully in seven schools within the north west for Relate, Paws For Kids, and privately. He is currently providing a counselling service within Harper Green secondary school. His service provides a generic counselling service within the school environment for young people, aged between 12 and 18, who may be going through a hard time.
Counselling offers the opportunity to talk to someone neutral about feelings and issues, because, as we all know, sometimes it's hard to talk to those closest to you. A client's confidentiality is of utmost importance, though if someone is directly at risk from harm there is a duty to inform the correct and relevant agencies.
Damian is also able to offer feedback sheets to schools, though importantly this does not affect the clients confidentiality. He also conforms to Bolton's Child Protection Procedures.
With Damian's fourteen years experience as a youth worker, he has the necessary skills and experience to deal with a wide range of issues that affect young people. Damian is trained to work with young people in a confidential and supportive way. Some of the issues that affect young people most are:
Our Service
Each session will last either 30 minutes or an hour depending on requirements, and most clients will require more than one session. Damian has a 2 hour minimum booking per school, and can provide counselling for your school on a term length or yearly contract basis.
He may be able to provide short term counselling sessions for schools, but these are subject to availability.
Damian can also supply on request details of qualifications, insurance, supervision and an up to date Enhanced CRB certificate.
